Journey Through Time: MATRIX's Milestones

2009

  • Founded in January with an office in Andheri West.
  • Initial product lines: Armstrong, DORMA (Dormakaba), Metal Fire-rated doors, Modular Toilet Partitions.

2011

  • Partnered with Vetrotech Saint-Gobain for Fire-rated glazed solutions.

2013

Inaugurated PUNE branch.

2016

Moved to a new 2000 sft office at Kailas Business Park, Vikhroli, Mumbai on 10th December.

2017

Opened the Bangalore branch.

2019

  • Marked 10th anniversary on 28th Jan.
  • Became a Channel Partner for SHAW Contract

2023

Became an official dealer for HAWORTH products in the PUNE region.

2024 – the way forward

  • Celebrating 15 years of Matrix on 28th Jan.
  • Launching a flagship 5000 sq. ft. showroom in PUNE

Kewwal Thakkarr

Managing Director
Trained as a Civil Engineer, Mr. Thakkarr brings over 25 years of multifaceted expertise to the building material industry. His journey, marked by roles in esteemed Indian and multinational corporations like Shakti-met, Hettich, and Dormakaba, culminated in the founding of Matrix in 2009. With a vision to consolidate specialized products and services, he transformed Matrix into a one-stop architectural solution hub.

Abhijit Kamath

Director
An Electronics Engineer from Sardar Patel College of Engineering, Mr. Kamath has enriched Matrix with a decade of leadership. With nearly 20 years in the Corporate Interiors and Fit-outs sector, including a pivotal role as AVP at a leading Interior Contracting firm, he excels in client management, negotiations, and forging strategic partnerships with industry stalwarts. His prowess in pre-sales, key account management, and seamless project execution sets him apart as an industry luminary.

Vaibhav Gurav

A seasoned Mechanical Engineer, Mr. Gurav boasts nearly a decade of expertise with dormakaba and an additional 11 years at Matrix. He specializes in managing large-scale projects, particularly those involving Dorma products such as sliding mechanisms and partitions.

Ashiqali Kasoo

A seasoned graduate with over 32 years of experience in finance, Mr. Kasoo has been an integral part of MATRIX for the last decade. His vast experience includes roles with Dormakaba and other esteemed organizations. At MATRIX, he oversees financial operations.
